What is a QR Code?
A QR code (Quick Response code) is a two-dimensional barcode that stores data in a grid of black and white squares. Invented in 1994 by Denso Wave for tracking automotive parts, QR codes have become ubiquitous โ used for URLs, payments, Wi-Fi sharing, contact cards, event tickets, and more. QR codes feature built-in error correction (Reed-Solomon), meaning they remain scannable even when partially damaged. The four levels โ L (7%), M (15%), Q (25%), H (30%) โ determine how much of the code can be corrupted while remaining readable.
How to Create a QR Code
Enter your text, URL, or data into the input field. The QR code generates in real-time as you type.
Customize the appearance โ change colors, adjust size, and select error correction level (higher levels allow for more styling but make the code denser).
Download the QR code as PNG (for digital use) or SVG (for print, scales without losing quality). No watermarks, no limits.
